Just a thought: Earlier someone asked for a historical ranking. As a step towards this, could it be possible to make a comlete ranking from 2004 -> present time? We can already see the riders complete points in the period. Maybe under "Statistics" the possibillity to make your own ranking period.

and also, then the guy that finished 5th in 2007, he also rode the estonian championships! there must be some problem there. Still, a little detail

There is a little detail in the letonian time trial championships. In 2007 a guy called KOMILOVS Vitalijs finished 5º, but in 2008 the 3rd position is KORNILOVS Vitalijs. I suppose they are the same guy?

How can Evans be number one when Contador won two major tours? Something seriously wrong with the point structure...
Comment: "seriously wrong" might be a slight overstatement. So far Contador earned 1388 CQ in 2008, vs Evans 986 CQ. So Contador gained 400 pts more.
However in the 2nd half of 2007 Contador scored in Tour (881cq) and Missouri (5cq). On the other hand Evans rode in that period Tour (692cq) and Vuelta (378cq) plus had some major results in one day races : Roadrace in Stuttgart (160cq), Emilia (49cq) and Lombardia (108cq).
One could argue for eternity if the victories in big stage races such as Tour & Vuelta should have a higher weight but fact is that Evans had a much longer and consistent season than Contador.
